Almost. It is the *only* way to have it stop unauthorized *relaying* (outgoing spam
going through your mail server). It does not stop incoming spam, though.

The virtual hosts isn't necessarily a problem. The "Relay mail for addresses" option
requires that you enter the "safe" IP addresses. You need to enter the IP addresses
that mail will come from (the addresses your users will be at), not the local
address(es).
If your users will be coming from 100+ different IP ranges, that's a different story.
