This brings to mind a question on how long to keep a username out of
circulation when the 'user' is gone. It's analogous to a phone company
not immediately reissuing a phone number when it's disconnected.
I can think of two sub-topics under this thread, one being how long
before reusing it (if ever).
And two, what should the response be when receiving mail for that
username:
a) forward it to their new email address if possible
b) bounce it back with a 'sorry, no longer here'
c) drop it in the bit bucket
Anyone care to share their thoughts or policies on these?
