I am having a weird SMTP mail delivery problem. Below is the log snippet of
the message being sent:

06:28 11:23 SMTPD(43A500DE) [207.113.27.2] connect 1.2.3.4 port 1461
06:28 11:23 SMTPD(43A500DE) [1.2.3.4 ] HELO ts3
06:28 11:23 SMTPD(43A500DE) [1.2.3.4 ] MAIL FROM: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
06:28 11:23 SMTPD(43A500DE) [1.2.3.4 ] RCPT TO: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
06:28 11:23 SMTPD(43A500DE) [1.2.3.4 ] J:\IMAIL\spool\D4c080de.SMD 1312
06:28 11:23 SMTP-(00000263) processing J:\IMAIL\spool\Q4c080de.SMD
06:28 11:23 SMTP-(00000263) requeuing J:\IMAIL\spool\Q4c080de.SMP R0 T1
06:28 11:23 SMTP-(00000263) finished J:\IMAIL\spool\Q4c080de.SMP status=3

Notice how the message is accepted for delivery from the client. SMTP then
tries to process the message from the queue, but immediately re-queues it.
There doesn't appear to be any processing taking place. No attempt to
connect, no MX failure, nothing. It just gets requeued. This was brought to
our attention by a customer trying to send a message to that domain who was
getting the messages returned as undeliverable (max retries exceeded).

I also notice that the extension gets changed to an SMP extension. I believe
this is done for "problem" messages. From this point forward, it doesn't
appear the message is ever attempted to be re-delivered. The queue processor
just increments the attempt count and skips processing of the message.

Any thoughts? Running Imail 6.06
