The problem is that there IS NO MX record.  There is an invalid MX record, 
but it does not point to a valid server host name.  It looks like it might 
be an IP address, which isn't valid in an MX record.

That's because it never has a chance to deliver it.  It's kind of like what 
the postal service does if you send a letter addressed to "My brother's 
house" or "Santa Claus".  It just can't be delivered accurately.
