FYI, there is a Declude Virus mailing list that would be useful for
questions such as this. You can send an E-mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
with "subscribe declude.virus Your Name" in the body to join.
But, to answer the question, Declude quarantines the E-mail to the
\IMail\spool\virus directory (there are actually two files in there; IMail
stores E-mail in the spool with a "D*.*" and a "Q*.*" file). Since these
are the original E-mails, the viruses are encoded, so it is safe to open
these with Notepad, if you need to look at any of them. If you must
deliver the E-mail for some reason, you can copy the two files ("D" and
"Q") back to the spool directory, but of course it is not recommended to
send viruses!
You can handle maintenance however you like. If your company has a
specific policy, you should of course follow that. Some people delete the
viruses, some archive them. You might want to hold on to them for a week
or so, just to make sure that the intended recipient didn't need anything
from the E-mail, and then delete them.
