They may be referring to the "on-access" scanner (the one that runs in the 
background, scanning any files that are saved to the hard drive).

The "command line" scanner in McAfee that Declude uses seems to perform 
comparably with other scanners.  We tested several scanners on Windows 
2000, and when fine-tuned, McAfee's command line scanner beat the rest 
(although sometimes it takes several tries to scan files, if there is more 
than one scanner running concurrently).

We do prefer F-Prot over McAfee, however, after the cases where people 
upgraded McAfee and the update didn't work.
