There is an add-in available for Outlook 2000 running in Corporate mode;
it's on the cd and is called something like "Microsoft LDAP Directory" (at
least, that's what it shows up in the Outlook services list).
We're running an old version of iMail (so old I'm not going to admit what it
is!); when I installed the Outlook add-in and dug through the
configurations, it was set up to find "us" in the country field. As we have
some addresses that I *don't* want to show up, I kept the configuration to
look for "us" and made sure that the ones I don't want to show up have the
country field blank.
Also, we are not running the finger services. I haven't had any problems
with this setup.
Hope this helps!

Do not follow ipSwitches advice on putting "objectclass=Person" in the
search base for the LDAP client.
You must be running Outlook 2000 in INTERNET mode and not CORPORATE
MODE.
Setup the LDAP server and basically all you need is the DNS entry for
your LDAP/iMAIL server.
You can contact me direct for further help if you need it.

Sorry if you all have seen this before:
Running iMail 7 (obviously - because I am posting to a support group for
that product) and I (myself - not the company) have upgraded to Outlook
2002 (part of Office XP).
LDAP doesn't work at all...
Everytime I do a search for a name it comes back with an error that
PROTOCOL ERROR
(with an OK button)
NO ENTRIES WERE FOUND
(with an OK button)
I am perplexed.
All my other Outlook 2000 clients work just fine.

PS - I have one EUDORA user whose LDAP doesn't work anymore either....
Anyone else?
