If scott's suggestions don't work...try stopping and restarting the dns
service on your server... see if it's Microsoft dns is working
properly... if it has stopped for some domains you likely need to apply
a fix to the mirosoft dns

Subject: [IMail Forum] Can't connect to a mail server

Hi all. I've got a client that doesn't host her main domain with me,
and I can't send or receive e-mail from her under that domain. I am
able to telnet into her mail server from my machine here at home, but
not from the server and Imail can't connect to it. Nslookup shows the
primary mail server running under the same IP address as the main
domain, which is jd-webdesign.com. Any help woud be appreciated.

Here is a log entry:

Outgoing (20th attempt):

10:18 01:25 SMTP-(0000055C) Trying jd-webdesign.com (0)
10:18 01:26 SMTP-(0000055C) MX connect fail "216.87.92.4"
10:18 01:27 SMTP-(0000055C) MX connect fail "216.87.92.3"
10:18 01:27 SMTP-(0000055C) Stack connect fail "216.87.92.4"
10:18 01:27 SMTP-(0000055C) Creating message from Postmaster
10:18 01:27 SMTP-(0000055C) finished F:\IMail\spool\Qe5f72a2.SMP
status=2

She also gets the mail that she sends to me sent back undeliverable.
I'm not listed in MAPS. Not sure about any others, and am not sure
where to check.

Thanks for any enlightenment you can give me.
