Hi!

I got exactly the same problem.

Even that our system has not been used for spamming and probably
never will, orbz is still blackholing us.

I found no way with imail to close relaying issues reported by orbz
for our mail server.

I tryed to contact orbz but, it is almost impossible to discuss with them
seriously,
they just think they are God.

I asked for their phone numbers and addresses to get in touch with them
directly on the phone, and they never answered me.

For an organisation that is supposed to suppress spam it is strange
they never answer mails signing them with a person name, they just sign
ORBZ.
It sounds anonymous to me, like spam.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Blackholed by Orbz

System: Win 2K
IMail 7.04

We're a small hosting company and do not provide dialup and I'm not sure we
can fix this relay problem?

This is provided by Orbz to resolve the problem:

IMail Server
   Status: Commercial Ipswitch, Inc.
   Systems: Windows/NT
   Info: http://www.ipswitch.com/products/IMail_Server/index.asp

We're told that Imail is open relay by default, but can be closed easily. To
stop open relay, on the Imail SMTP Security panel, click Relay options:Relay
for Addresses and enter your trusted ip addresses and/or subnets. Then, on
the Imail SMTP Security panel, UNcheck "Disable SMTP AUTH reporting" and
tell all your mail users to use SMTP AUTH in their mail client programs.

More information is in Chapter 8 of the IMail 6.0 Manual (PDF, 2099K.)

We cannot follow these directions because we can't possibly know the IP's
that are using our system? Does following step 2 satisfy Orbz?

Thanks,

Bill
