hmm, don't understand that reasoning at all.

>available??

I dunno, RSN :)) When people may contributions, you can't push them. :))

>My #2 issue with IMGate is my lack of experience with *nix/L*nix.

Nearly all Imgate admins who come from Imail have been in the same
boat. They all get along ok.

>How difficult is the OS/IMGate installation?

easier than Whack-O-Sama.

You do the OS (FreeBSD install is clearly explained on my site), and I give
you my config files. or you do the OS, and I do the rest.

>What about maintenance?

IMgate doesn't need maintenance. :))

>Will I spend a second lifetime chasing patches for *nix after the first is
>expended chasing MS patches??

they happen, but not as frequently as with MS. Well, I'm talking about
FreeBSD. I don't follow the Linux game.

If you run IMGate as the only app on the gateway, then you'll hardly ever
touch IMGate, except to add/remove domains from the
relay_for_recipientdomains list.

If you want to modify header and body filtering, then that's the same time
it takes on IMail, but one filter rule can work globally for all domains.
