Forgot to mention: In Task Manager, the SMTP32 program starts at around 2.4MB and simply grows. Restarted when it got to 12MB. I don't see any SMTP processes created.
Also to clarify: the logs show 30,000 incoming messages, but only about 1,500 T* and D* pairs were in the spool when I ran the count. Total number of status=1 deliveries were about 45.
