I am using IMAP and have been experiencing this problem with my 'Sent' folder. After
sending and email, the client attempts a connection to the 'Sent' folder, then
deposits a copy there. This connection process would go without success, without
timing out, without any error - I have let it go for many hours, sometimes with
multiple messages (past send) attempting the connection. The problem, although
intermittent, seems to exist almost always, with very rare windows. I have tried:
deleting more than half of the messages in the folder and compacting, creating a
different folder ('Sent Mail') and setting the client to use that. The second method
would offer a longer window of success, while the first may not offer any. The folder
seems to otherwise function fine, no problems via WebMail either.
Thanks,
Daniel Odulo.
