Hello, and thank you Dan and Alan for your replies.

Alan:
We are running iMail v7.05

Dan:
This happens with all emails - no attachments, less than 1K in size.
There is no 'copy operation' happening 'on the server' - first message is sent (SMTP),
then connection is established to the IMAP server, then delivery is attempted into the
sent folder. The problem occurs somewhere during the connection or authentication
stage.

Daniel Odulo.
