Len, honestly, I am new at this. I have set up other email servers that were a lot more simple than this and they work fine. Which is the most confusing part. On Machine 1, I can send and receive email just fine. The email server was set up and didn't have a problem.
I install imail on Machine 2, (I liked Imail when I was on a shared server and I am considering purchasing it) and I cannot send email to any outside email addresses. Here is an example of my log when I tried to send an email to my work account (I am changing the domains to protect my email addresses). 02:08 22:59 SMTP-(0000007C) >MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 02:08 22:59 SMTP-(0000007C) 250 2.1.0 [EMAIL PROTECTED] OK 02:08 22:59 SMTP-(0000007C) >RCPT To:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 02:08 22:59 SMTP-(0000007C) 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [EMAIL PROTECTED] 02:08 22:59 SMTP-(0000007C) >QUIT 02:08 22:59 SMTP-(0000007C) 221 2.0.0 somemachine.anotherdomain.com Service closing transmission channel 02:08 22:59 SMTP-(0000007C) Creating message from Postmaster 02:08 22:59 SMTP-(0000007C) finished f:\imail\spool\Q9e95132.SMD status=2 I would love to tell you what this means, but I really don't know. The only thing that I understand is that the address I was sending it to didn't accept it because it couldn't relay. I don't understand why it is wanting to relay on the other server. I have an SMTP server that is relaying for me and this should send the email to that other server right? Am I missing something?
