SMTP Security.

Mail Relay Options: Relay mail for Addresses (list is the IPs of our web
servers for form-to-email functionality)

The only other checked boxes are
 Check Valid Sender
 Auto-deny possible Hack Attempts

Netscape Communicator 4.5 and higher automatically use SMTP AUTH if it is
advertised by the server. You will need to set the default username to use
when authenticating. You can do this by following these steps...

First select "Preferences" from the "Edit" menu...
Next, select the ""Mail Servers"" category and enter your Username in the
space labeled "Outgoing mail server user name".

The one we couldn't get to work was Outlook97... there's a patch from
Microsoft and a Service Pack for Office97 that is supposed to add SMTP Auth
but we couldn't get it to work. You may need to add Outlook97 clients to
the Address list, use Pop-before-SMTP schemes, or talk those folks into the
FREE Outlook Express 6 at Microsoft (thereby doing them a favor, Outlook97
is pretty bad).

Ok that's it from here.. don't be an open relay!

Mike
