a trivial UDP load compared to a peer opening a TCP session with every
other peer to find the mailbox.
Also, no need to enable the dangerous VRFY command. Just use
RCPT TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and see if it get rejected (ie, just like a spammer).
