I finally got my multiple copies of messages resolved on my machine - It turned out to be a problem with my network card. The Compaq machine I have came with an SMC network card. When I replaced it with a 3Com, the problem went away. The symptoms of my problem were: - I only got the multiple copies when I had 40 or more messages in my mailbox on the server (for example, over a weekend or when I'd been on vacation) - the more messages I had in my mailbox when I first popped them down, the worse the problem - I would get 50% of the previous messages pulled down again. It would take up to 2 hours before it would stop.
