Another obvious (to me) difference in the Battle Creek situation and the rest of is:
If one of us had this happen (and I hope that none of us are running old, outdated, unpatched, vulnerable versions :-)! ) and we complained to the authorities (dare I say even if we were located in Battle Creek and reported it to the Battle Creek police dept), they wouldn't lift a finger to help us!! This IS the reason why we have decided to defend ourselves, because our government won't!! Until they are the victim, then "Oh my god!", we discovered a new threat to the internet!
