I guess Imail reads this file into memory, because it needs the info for 
every incoming msg.

you have to add their ip to your address list if they are also going to 
send their outbound through Imail

and where to send it.  both are are decided in the hosts file.

putting their mail server's ip in "relay for addresses" allows their mail's 
ip to send mail out through your Imail without authentication.
