>Anyone have dealing with Go Daddy domain registration? >Example: my domain www.peake.com > >If you go to www.peake.biz you get a web page from go daddy with the >message "This page is parked FREE at Go Daddy" > >Looks like a domain hostage ;)
It actually has nothing to do with Go Daddy. Someone bought the domain name through them, and Go Daddy offers free "domain parking" (free advertising for Go Daddy). This actually got them in trouble before -- go to http://www.godaddy.com and look at the top for the "Our response to the February 2002 issue of Consumer Reports magazine" link. But, the real problem is that Ernesto Morales Peake of Mexico grabbed the domain name in November. It looks like an honest case of someone getting a domain name that they feel they have a right to. :) Much better than Network Solutions, that sucks up all expired domain names, hoping to auction them off for big bucks some day. -Scott --- Declude: Anti-virus, Anti-spam and Anti-hijacking solutions for IMail. http://www.declude.com --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
