Once they have accepted your mail for delivery within their system it is
there responsibility, Per the RFCs.  One of the reasons to use a gateway is
to shield/obscure the actual servers behind it.  What they are asking for is
rather like your asking a vendor to tell you exactly what the crisp you
bought from him this morning reached when they were finally digested.  I
would think that if we (nonAOL admins) could see that far into their system,
we wouldn't need to be calling their staff asking where the mail went.
Seems a rather odd request on their part.  Once you have identified the
gateway it entered through their own system logs should show where it went
and what happened to it.  Then again they are AOL.
