From my experience, all I can say is don't try to
just set everything that says c: to d:. It doesn't work. When we did
this, iMail was still putting some emails & user settings (seemingly at
random) on c: even though c: was not mentioned ANYWERE in the imail
setup.
So yeah, I'd suggest un-installing and
re-installing imail.
