the
method i used was
export
the imail registry
edit
the resulting export file, changing all occurrences of c:\imail to
d:\imail
stop
all Imail services
delete
the imail reg key
copy
the Imail directory TO ANOTHER system
uninstall Imail
delete
the imail directory
Install Imail making sure to use the new Imail directory location, it
will likely try to install to the old location
during
the install choose yes for overwriting everything if it asks
create
just any user or just root, and name the domain appropriately, this will be
overwritten when you import the reg file I think.
at the
end of the install, choose NOT to start any services
import
the edited version of the Imail reg key
using regedit, review the Imail key, delete
anything that was just added by the new
installation copy
the Imail directory from the other system, to the new location, overwriting all
files
install all hotfixes
start
imail admin
go to
each domain listed, there is a location for Imail User Directory, is likley
currently, c:\imail\users , dependant upon how your domains are configured,
change this to reflect the d:\ drive for each domain u have
start
the necessary imail services
i'd
suggest doing this on a test environment, which is what i did, and everything
worked perfectly, I was actually making a multitude of changes, to include,
changing the server entirely, change of IP addresses as well as the drive
location for Imail, editing the exported registry file, made most of it
easy.
good
luck, i hope i got the procedure correct, i'm going from memory, so hopefully
all the steps are correct, still, try on test system first.
