Hi,

I hope some of you will have an idea how to solve the issue of high POP3
service on my Imail server.
Often I can see utilization of the service going up to 100% and some of
the users will in these moments
receive on their clients message that server can not be contacted.
Following is the configuration of my server :

Compaq Proliant 3000
1 CPU PIII at 500 MHz
512 Mb of RAM
OS on RAID 1
Spool and user directories on RAID 5

Win2K SP2
Imail 7.10 with all of the hot fixes
300 users

During the time with high CPU utilization (task manager) I have also
noticed increased Disk Read activity (performance monitor). Just as side
note some of my users have large mailboxes (50 - 200 Mb), but again only
about 10% of user population.

Will second CPU make any difference ?

All suggestions are welcome.

Srdjan Vujosevic
