Actually,

You can set the security on M$ SMTP service to only relay for certain IP's...

Kinda like IMail, just not as robust.

But it gets the job done.

don't think so,  but I think you can use the smtp svc in W2k for mail 
relay. you'll maybe get blackholed, .....
