Thank you Todd & Scott for your comments... I understand what you are
telling me but I feel I need to explain that we currently don't have a
choice... (I can feel the frown on your faces and the roll of the eyes from
here ;-) We just have too many users to 'Train' in the new way and not
enough time in our day to deal with that. Also there is too broad of an IP
range that would need to be added to the Allowed Address list. We do not
provide connection services to our clients and I do not know what their
Dynamic IP address ranges will be. If you have any ideas I'd love to hear
them.

I also do not see how I could be blacklisted for not requiring my users to
authenticate, since this is essentially what you are telling me to do. Also
as far as I know the server meets all requirements for http://ordb.org.

Now, once again, I ask in a nice way, Is it possible to put comments in the
Accept.txt file? Thanks! :-)

~Mike

Most importantly...
Do you know that you are now an open relay?

The only secure relay options are "No relay." and "Relay for addresses.".
Any other option will eventually land you in a open relay blacklist. See
the FAQ listed at the bottom of this post.

Only "Relay for Addresses" and "No Mail Relay" are safe. Anything else
allows spammers to use your mailserver for free.
Feel free to continue using that setting, if you don't mind offering free
service to spammers (and getting listed in spam databases).

I've recently changed our SMTP Security to "Relay For Local Users Only".
I was just wondering if I could place comment lines in my accept.txt file so
6 months from now I don't forget what [EMAIL PROTECTED] is doing my
accept.txt file and delete them. I'm running version 6.0. Thanks!
