A customer of mine writes... <message> I'm not sure if there's a bug with your webmail or if there is a problem on my end interpreting something that comes from webmail but here's what I'm noticing. I've received a couple of emails from a Webmail user. Everything works fine until she tries to write a paragraph longer than 1024 characters long at which point it just truncates the paragraph and starts on the next one. I don't know if that's indicative of a problem with the webmail, the smtp server on your end, my implementation of sendmail, or fetchmail. Or for that matter if procmail or spamassassin is being gretzy. One thing I do notice is that unlike most of the other emails I get with long paragraphs, there are no cr's or lf's inserted. Spamassassin picked that up, in fact, in the user's message (which is what got me looking.) </message>
I'm using IMail 7.1 and the KWM templates. I haven't found this to be a problem with other mail clients, however I've never tested this with Spamassassin. Any ideas? Also, could someone comment about the lack of carriage returns and linefeeds? Is this normal? Is the email client (in this case, Web Messaging) responsible for inserting the appropriate breaks or is this even necessary? Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.
