Hey Les,

The tif was created from a .pdf document. The point being that if I have a
document that I need to fax to a client I should be able to create it in
Word, print to pdf, export to tiff and fax. (whew) According to Ipswitch,
this issue is a known problem and they are testing it, whatever that means.
It just seems to me that if you create an app that you say can fax file
types but it renders those types unreadable, then it's not really a working
product. Otherwise, what good does it do me to be able to fax a plain ol'
email?

(Sorry for the brief rant)

Troy

How are you creating your TIF documents?
i the only way i could get the fax to come out looking OK was to use Peernet
and set the pixle rate to be 1.5 times as big as the original. it then
printed out OK.
by using peernet you can also add some automation to your fax creation - but
in the end i found the whole product way too clunky and purchased Rightfax
instead - all though it was a lot more expensive (3,500 compared with 150)
it came with a brooktrout fax card and unlimited users.

hope this helps

Les.
