The Difference being in receiving & the sending of email.
Control in terms of POP3 will be used to exercise a control for the incoming
mails so it will serve as a filter for filtering incoming mail.The same
applies to outgoing that it works as a outgoing filter for SMTP filtering.

This may be a dumb question, but what is the difference between the Control
Access found in IMAIL admin under POP services, and that found under SMTP
services?  I do not see anything regarding the SMTP service in the on-line
IMail Help
