Using IMail 7.12 without Hotfix 1 on Windows NT SP6a.

I thought that a bug in the Web interface of the IMail Administrator was
fixed when I upgraded from 7.07 to 7.12 over a week ago but I noticed today
that it is still there. The problem is that when I log on to
http://mail.example.com:8181/ the left frame displays the status of Web
messaging as stopped (in red). In reality, the service is indeed running and
this is confirmed by:

1. My ability to use it (http://mail.example.com:8383/)
2. Attempting to restart IWEBMSG via port :8181 by clicking on the "START"
hyperlink changes the link to "STOP" and displays "Service running", with
the "WEB" status changing to green in the left pane (so far, this *looks*
like I effectively restarted the service) *BUT* if I look at the Monitor Log
(still using :8181), I get the following two lines:

20020810 122947 SRVC START "IWEBMSG" service
20020810 122947 SRVC ERROR "IWEBMSG" - start failed An instance of the
service is already running.

So, as I said, the service was indeed running but erroneously reported as
being down. Btw, checking or unchecking the "Auto Restart" box has no effect
on this behavior.

This cosmetic (?) problem has been present (on my box anyway) from 6.04
through 7.07 and I had learned to discount it, especially after asking about
it twice on this list and not receiving any reply. When I upgraded to 7.12,
the bug appeared to be fixed as I didn't see the usual false status report
for a week but as the lines above indicate, it is still there and surfaced
today.

Is anyone else experiencing this (any version)?

Guy
