Hi Sergio, > Well, i did restarted the server like a zillion times before, but the real > question is:
OK, this rules out changes made to SMTP settings not taking effect because the service was not restarted. > If my local user is sending emails through the SMTP server, isnt he > considerated as local user=? Yes. > the scenario is: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > sending through: > smtp.mydomain.com > sending to: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > User IP is from local network O.K. > As i see, it would work even if the "Allow remote mail to local groups" > checkbox is unchecked. And, as I see it, you are right and so something else is at fault. Perhaps not coincidentally, I notice that the invalid user address mentioned on the last line is missing the trailing ">". I have seen past reports of unbalanced angle brackets (see the list archives) and the culprit was deemed to be a faulty NIC. I am handing over your problem to the experts on the IMail Forum as I am baffled just by the "denied remote access" part.
