pop and smtp server will be as you (or your ISP) have set up in DNS:

we set it up in our DNS for our customers to be able to use :
pop3.theirdomain.com
smtp.theirdomain.com

as for user ID for an account (i.e.: [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
if you are assigning a mail host on the IMail server a static IP , then all
you need is to use the "jdoe"

on the other hand, if you are using multiple virtual hosts, then you need to
use the entire email address as user ID : [EMAIL PROTECTED]

In our case, the mail user ID for all customers on our server is their full
email address.

Sincerely,

Randy Armbrecht
