This misuse of the apostrophe, while *extremely* common, is not made
correct by its frequency. :)

That's neither (a) the context of this list, nor (b) the primary
definition of the word in the most authoritative dictionaries.
Lexicographers preface such usage with "Chiefly Law" to indicate that
such usage is invalid outside the trade; the Internet may not be
"real," of course, but that puts it even further from trade-specific
meanings.

Wow! And here I always thought YWNAL!

My dictionary's a little too heavy to send across the river, but I'm
sure there's one around. Larousse has "question discutable." Translate
at your own risk. :))

My point about IMail comes from my extensive knowledge of the product,
my desire to see it understood and improved, and my equitable
treatment of relative newbies who make good points, even in all-caps.
I do not think that "shut up" is EVER appropriate on a discussion
forum. If threads are complex and contentious, ignore them or debate
them carefully and professionally; treating the subjects at hand,
rather than turning to ad hominem attacks and airy lexical debate, was
apparently not given a second thought here, as usual.
