First off, congrats on the CISSP. Sencond, FWIW, I have had to add
"manual" entries in the host file to accommodate other mail servers
having problems (especially Hotmail). From what I can tell, their mail
systems can't handle the incomming connections (verified by the sporatic
inability to telnet to the SMTP port). Just try to set the entry to a
secondary mail server that "may" be more stable. But beware, you are
bypassing your DNS functions, so if they change IP's, you won't be able
to send them anything until you remember that you manually set it in the
host file.

Subject: [IMail Forum] IMail version 6.06 w/patch HF5 -- Connect Stack
Fail...

Dear All,

I'm trying to resolve connect stack fail problem within the iMail server
smtp service.

The imail server has one external ip address with 4 virtual domain. I
have applied all the latest patch and gone thru the knowledge base on
this subject, checking DNS setting and etc... and I'm still getting
these errors... for example, sending to hotmail users is a problem as
well as to some ISP email account...

Any suggestion and recommendation on what I can do???

Best Regards
David
