All, Generally speaking, software and OS's are vulnerable. Almost daily new hacks appear. The argument that a particular version is "safe" does not hold water. Its only a matter of time before a new vulnerability of version 5.x, 6.x or 7.x is exploited.
IMHO- the issue here is whether the costs (software, time, potential errors - problems, stability ect.) involved with an upgrade are worth the benefits. Our clients don't come close to using all the features of version 6.X, for us, the benefits are not yet there. The vulnerability applies only if you run mailing lists. Not everybody does.
