My log file from a week ago is similar in size to today's log file. I will use that in this discussion just due to the fact the files are similar in size, but the errors discussed start showing up yesterday morning In last week's file, there were 4,133 instances of; MX connect fail "some.ip.address" (in quotes) Today there are almost 23,000 Additionally, the IP of the servers that we relay for are all over the place. >From today's log: 02:25 00:09 SMTP-(000005D0) Trying domainname.com (0) 02:25 00:10 SMTP-(000005D0) MX connect fail "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" >From last week's log: 02:18 01:32 SMTP-(000009AC) Trying domainname.com (0) 02:18 01:32 SMTP-(000009AC) Connect domainname.com [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:25] (1) So I am back to DNS. Again, I can ping said domain, the entry is in the host file correctly. I think I may have found it.... http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19981110-DD02.htm rusty To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
