I use the utiity on ipswitch's site called extractusers.exe users. i
run it every day at 4am with 7.15 and it creates text file's for each
domain with all the username and passwords in plain text. i then zip
it up and store it on a backup, with a few minuites editing in
ultraedit (colum editing) i can create a file that adduser will
accept in the event of a disaster.

I disagree on that statement totally. Passwords should not be
accessable by anyone. Certain people with sufficient rights on the
server should be able to change them, but that is it. Leaving the
passwords open for people to see on the server is a BIG security
issue. If you're a small business, with 1 or 2 people who have
exclusive access to the server, that's one thing. If you're bigger,
and have a support team of people, that's where your security risk
comes into play.

Thanks,

Ipswitch needs to have this ability. I do not understand why the
administrator dose not have the ability to see what the passwords
are.
I should never have to go and change a password because the customer
did not remember it. This should be common support and we should not
have to pay for programs to extract passwords from the registry.
