Hi Scott,

Thanks for the response.

I just enabled port 53, but that didn't help.

I can't connect to the email server from either side of the router.

When I'm on the server itself, I get this message:
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'storehousesoftware.com',
Server: 'mail.storehousesoftware.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

>From the other side of the router, I get this:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', Server:
'mail.storehousesoftware.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

You asked about what happens if I try to connect to port 25 from the other
side of the router. How would I go about doing that?

Regarding the dubious honor of being listed in the DSBL spam database, I
have the relay parameter set for local hosts only. I don't remember what it
was in the previous two installs.

Kind regards,

Peter

The key isn't how to get IMail working behind a D-Link router; it's how to
get a mailserver to run behind a D-Link router. A problem introduced by
adding a router would only be an IMail issue if IMail was doing something
really wrong (such as sending broken packets).

What happens when you add the D-Link router? Can you connect to port 25
from outside? Or does something unusual happen (such as a bunch of
"****"'s appear, as happens with one non-RFC-compliant router)?

Have you made sure to allow DNS packets (UDP and TCP port 53) through the
router?

Are you aware you are listed in the DSBL spam database, because you are (or
were) an open relay?
