Yeah, I did that, and it is still locking up. Quite frustrating.

One of the fixes for OE crashing on the query was to use the IP address of
the server instead of the server name. Have you tried this?

I've done this with no success. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Once it is set up in Outlook you need to go to the advanced options and
put objectclass="person". Once you are in the LDAP set up hit more
settings, hit the search tab and put objectclass="person" just like that
in the search base box.

This works for me, but I don't always get 100% returns on my LDAP I know
I have someone named Russ but when I search for him, he never shows up.
I have this issue with a few people, not sure if it's an outlook or
IMAIL problem. I don't have anyone using it so I never really tried to
get it fixed beyond re-doing the LDAP DB in Imail.

Hope that works for you~

Subject: [IMail Forum] LDAP and Outlook 2002 problem

Well, I've searched the archives, tried all the suggestions, yet I can't

get LDAP (Imail v8.0) to work with Outlook 2002. Every time I try to
access the address book, Outlook locks up, and it requires the task
manager to clear it. I have been able to duplicate this problem on both

Win XP Pro and Win 98 platforms. I have been using LDAP fine for years
with all of our Netscape users, and have only just now had an Outlook
user ask to use it.

I'm sure this has all been discussed at length, but I just can't find
the reference. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks to all!!
