I don't think this is a conspiracy theory.  I have no doubt that AOL has
seen this benefit.

Doesn't anyone here see this as a part of a larger conspiracy against

ISPs?  If small ISPs have constant trouble sending customer e-mail to
AOL,
then from the customer standpoint, they don't believe you when you say
that
AOL is the problem.  They are the Ma Bell of ISPs "They don't have
problems".

The end result is customers leaving your service and going to AOL
because
you can't get their e-mails sent to their friends at AOL...

:))  I couldn't resist the conspiracy theory!
