Over the last couple of days we have been unable to send mail to one mail server. I have looked at the logs and everything is sending Ok to everyone except this one domain which happens to be our sister company in Australia yet their admin refuses to believe it is their problem. Here is a copy of the log transaction. Can anyone add any light on this?

06:17 00:00 SMTP-(00000176) rl-recv: (00002746) connection reset

If you're always seeing this same thing ("connection reset") after the EHLO, then they have almost certainly blocked you for some unknown reason. Their mailserver is definitely not RFC-compliant if this is the case -- it is required to send a response code, and then have you issue a QUIT command to terminate the connection.

Unless there is something very unusual happening on your end (such as a firewall that is intercepting the connection), the problem is on their end.
