The ideal solution is using multiple front-end servers in conjunction with multiple back-end servers. Such is done with IMAP/POP/HTTP proxies or multiplexors. Although I'm unaware of any that currently run on NT.
Len, got something cooking for IMGate?
nope, IMGAte is pure SMTP
perdition is a nice, seucre pop3 proxy.
How about IMFront or IMux?
The user export from Imail to IMGate could go to another "webmail" machine to inform Apache proxy where to find the Imail server.
