Does anyone have some experience setting-up listserves? I know little
about email/listserve servers. The college I work at wants to setup
listserves for online classes and to encourage student communication;
for example one may be BU480 (a Senior-level Business Management class),
or COM105 (a Freshman Communications Lecture/Discussion group).

I just upgraded to Imail 7.07HF3 on Win2000 Server SP3. I created a
listserve called AvilaCS (for Avila's IT group to test it), and added
all members to the group. I chose the following settings:
Reply -To to List (vs. sender)
Enable Subject Modification - "AvilaCS" for the list name
Allow posting by subscribers
Allow List Unsubscribers based on Subject Line
Enable Posters List - added all users
Users tab - added all users

When I send an email to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" (IP address of server)
nothing happens: the message is stored on the server (that I can see),
or forwarded to other people in the group.

Any ideas?

Also - As people add/drop the classes, we'll manage the subscriber list
on the server.
Does anyone have any best-practices for configuring semester-long
listserves??

Thanks,
