When our clients attempt to send to one certain system they get a user unknown error the log file is as follows
550 Mail from cconnect.net rejected because it does not accept bounces. This violates RFC 821/2505/2821 <http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/>http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/
I am new to Imail is there a setting I am missing I did a search of the manual and can t find an answer
Going to <http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/>http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/ and entering "connect.net" shows that you are listed in the NOPOSTMASTER and DSN spam databases. It seems that <http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/>http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/ made a mistake and entered you into the NOPOSTMASTER database when it should have been the NOABUSE database.
The first thing to do is make sure you have valid postmaster@ and abuse@ addresses. Then, make sure that the "Refuse NULL <> Senders" SMTP option is NOT checked.
Then, contact <http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/>http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/ and let them know that the problem has been fixed.
