Another  thing  to  watch  out  for is hot spots in clustered (i.e. rack
mounted) equipment.

A  perfectly  acceptable  rack  enclosure  can  be  rendered  deadly  to
equipment  by  blocked inlets/outlets, bad cable routing, dead or dieing
fans, overloading the rated head load, etc.

If you can, a simple thermometer placed in various locations in the rack
can help check for hot spots.
