Another  thing  to  watch  out  for is hot spots in clustered (i.e. rack
mounted) equipment.

A  perfectly  acceptable  rack  enclosure  can  be  rendered  deadly  to
equipment  by  blocked inlets/outlets, bad cable routing, dead or dieing
fans, overloading the rated head load, etc.

If you can, a simple thermometer placed in various locations in the rack
can help check for hot spots.

Monitoring the temp of what you're trying to climatize should be evident, so it's great you finally said it.


Room temperature is useless, equipment temperature is why you bother at all.
