Well good suggestion and I did double check settings and they are correct. In fact, it looks like Netscape is trying to start 2 instances of the SMTP service on port 25 at the same time. When I attempt to send an email, the SMTP service starts on port 25 just like normal. However, it then immediately tries to start again on port 25, resulting in the "unable to bind to port 25" error. It looks like SMTP service doesn't really get completely started or Netscape is trying to start it twice.
I have also un-installed Netscape 7.1 on my test system, reinstalled it from scratch (new installation) and then set up another test email account. Still the same problem. And it is only with Netscape 7.1. (after the errors, I installed Netscape 4.75 on the same maching, new profile and able to send email without problems). This just doesn't make sense.
