Every time someone using out mail server attempts to send a message to a
specific domain the email gets rejected. I've looked in the log files and
see that a connect to the other mail server is made, but a 521 Server does
not accept mail error is logged.

I've been successful at sending this domain email from a Hotmail account,
but none of the domains on my Imail server. I'm running 8.01 with the
hotfix.

Is this my server or DNS that is causing this problem?

The first step is to find out if IMail is sending to the correct IP address (check the log file against the MX record for the domain you are sending to).

Note that the "521" isn't defined by RFC821, and "5" codes indicate a permanent failure. So it would be up to IMail to decide if that means a permanent failure with that mailserver, or a permanent failure with the E-mail to that domain.

So if IMail is sending to the correct IP, it is behaving appropriately (although it would be better if it tried other mailservers).
