After
an encounter with a hacker on our mailserver, we ended up having to uninstall
Imail and reinstall. In the process we moved all our user mailboxes to a
backup directory to make sure that it did not get touched during the
unistall/reinstall process. After Imail was reinstalled, mail came pouring
in for our users & domains with Imail recreating the folders and mailboxes
for the users, before we could get the backups moved back into place. I am
looking for a script to parse through the folders of original domains/users ,
and if not found to just copy the old info back, but if Imail has already
recreated the folder, then to merge the existing info with the info from the
backup. Can this be done? I thouhgt I recalled seeing something
similar here at one time, but have come up blank in the archives, maybe
just using the wrong search terms.
