Oh dammit was sitting on a transatlantic phone for nearly 2 hours with them today and they didn't say a word about... Well well so much for there "nice" support you have to pay for.
Don't misunderstand me I does not have anything against paid support as long as they give me a straight answer. I was actually thinking about the rgistry as the problem because it used more than an hour to read in my key fil and it was only 29 mb. Will wait to see what they say. Else I willl have to go back Benny -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dermot Keenan Sent: 15. oktober 2003 18:38 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Need help with new box Been there, done that - reverted to Windows Server 2000. IMail has a serious issue with Windows Server 2003 when hosting a large number of virtual domains. It's been discussed on this list recently. Ipswitch is aware of the problem (one of their tech support reps said as much) but they won't officially acknowledge it. It has to do with they way the registry is read on Windows 2003. You will probably notice that SMTPD also runs very slow since it has to read through the registry to do SMTP-AUTH, etc. Unless Ipswitch comes out with a fix for this problem you will have to move your mail server to a Windows Server 2000 box. It's unfortunate that Ipswitch doesn't properly load test their product before declaring that it is compatible with a new OS (it's still listed as compatible on their System Requirements page).
